i was prepared for the wares at haus interior to be waaaay out of my budget, but was pleasantly surprised to find most everything is totally reasonable. these items in particular would do quite nicely in my (still imaginary) sf home.
btw, this whole "not shopping for clothes in order to save money so that we can furnish the new apartment that i still have zero idea what will need slash can hold" is f'ing killing me. plus, it's really not that appealing to just buy apartment things now and schlep them across country with us, since i still have the mover's quote ringing in my ear. because, you see, they charge by weight. and somehow, despite whittling our belongings down to a few dozen boxes, a shelf or two and a bed, they still want several (and i do mean several) paychecks. naturally i told them to shove it and have pressed on in my search to find movers who weren't high when they came up with their pricing structure. i know they're out there.
ok, end rant. the moral here is that i've been hesitant to covet recently because of the frustration spiral it sends me into (uh, obviously). but yeah, haus. pretty sweet stuff that i'm so coming back to once i get the shopping green light. man, that's gonna be fun.
